The STOIC RIDER - a new kind of journey

I never set out to write The Stoic Rider. It crept up on me, quietly — somewhere between windswept roads, roadside breakdowns, and the deeper kind of stillness that only arrives when everything else falls away.
This isn’t a book about how to ride. It’s a book about how to live.

Blending ancient Stoic philosophy with the raw, sometimes ridiculous lessons I’ve learned from a life on two wheels, The Stoic Rider is for anyone who’s ever felt stuck, afraid, or uncertain… and chosen to move forward anyway.

It’s about resilience. About leaning into discomfort instead of away from it. About the kind of clarity that only arrives in motion — and the kind of peace you find when you stop fighting what you can’t control.

I wrote this for you — the rider, the seeker, the one who’s quietly wondered if maybe there’s another way to meet life. Not harder. Not faster. But wiser.

🗓️ Launch Date: The Stoic Rider will officially launch at the Museum of Land Speed in Pendine, Wales, on August 9th, 2025 — a place that, fittingly, changed everything for me.

📖 A preorder page will be live soon, right here on the website. But if you’d like to be first in line — or just can’t wait — hit the Contact button and send me a quick note. I’ll add you to the early list personally.

Thank you for riding alongside me — in spirit or on the road. I can’t wait to share this with you.
— Louisa The Existential Biker

“The Stoics taught us to prepare for hardship, not fear it. The road taught me the same — not through books, but through breakdowns, blind corners, and moments of stillness so honest they left no room for pretending. This isn’t just a book about philosophy. It’s a reminder that motion itself can be a kind of wisdom, if you’re paying attention.”
— Louisa Swaden, The Stoic Rider
